Check this out!

Yep, once he gets going, he gets it done!
We had  to get this 'stuff' to put on the grout that sealed it and turned it a really dark black.
I'm pretty pleased with it.

I thought we were waiting to do this!

I thought we were going to start this after the Holidays.
Guess I was wrong.  This thing is happening now, now.

They are finished!

I bet you were wondering if I was talking about the floors or the invites.  The floors.  I'll be tackling the invites this weekend, since we can hand most of them out at church or at my parents house. Bry-D still had to do the trim, so we just put their mattresses on the floor.  It's so wonderful!
We got all the flooring in,then the floorboards, and then took a cople days break.
When he was putting the floorboards back, he had this little, teenie, tiny piece he had to work his butt off to get back where it was supposed to be. I guess floorboards are different from other projects in that you can't really have extra pieces when you put it back together.
And here it is, all put back together!  He's amazing, he's awesome, and he's mine!
I have decor plans, but it will take some time, since most of them are DIY.  But I'll keep you posted.

More flooring!

We went to Lumber Liquidators for the flooring.  We got 12mm with a pad attached, but Bry-D decided to lay down additional padding.
Yep, she's working hard.
Hhm, seems like a normal work crew; one guys works, the rest watch.
It got really exciting at this point, but the day wass over to quick & we had to leave it.
We'll finish it sometime this week, probably.

We've started painitng

Since the goal of all this renovation is to sell the house, we're going as nuertal but on trend as we can - bright white.  Also, since we have agirly girl & a mud truck boy sharing this space, we can personalise more with the accesories if the walls are nuetral.  As long as the contract gets ratified in the next couple of weeks like they are syaing it will, next up is the flooring, I'm so giddy!

I think it's time I bragged on my husband

Bry-D's part is done, well, except for putting in a new light fixture.  Is my hubby wonderful, or what?  Just as we suspected, the pedestal sink adds a lot of room-though there's pretty much no place for the towels and toys and such.
He did a great job, didn't he?  Well, he had help.  Hmmm, maybe it would be more accurate to call them "assistants" than "help" - they weren't always helpful.  They did try to be helpful, though.  Bry-D did a great job of tolerating their "help".
I have ideas for towel storage and something to replace the medicine cabinet, and I've had some pictures ready to put up for awhile, so once that's all done I'll post some pictures of the finished room.  Now on to the next home improvement!

It's coming along

It took him some work, but he got the toilet in.  The cabinet was easier,
He has promised me that the sink will be in soon.  Well before Christmas.  I am for sure holding him to that.  So far the best part of this whole thing was the other morning;  Eliz was doing the potty dance outside our bathroom while Bryan was inside.  She shouted "Daddy!  FIX OUR BATHROOM!!!!!!"  First world problems.

From Grey & grey to brown & blue

Doesn't it look great?  Bry-D worked hard on it, I'm really proud of him.  However, there has been a, umm, glitch?  The tile color is "Puritan Grey" & the grout is "Slate"  Both of these look grey in the store, and most of the time he was installing it, the tile looked grey.
My mom has a great eye for color and when I sent her a picture of our grey tiles, she replied with, "Looks brown to me"  I tried not to panic and just decided it was the phone's fault.  But then he started grouting...and the tiles were indeed, brown.  And the grout was...blue?!?
With the names, we really thought we were doing grey with a darker grey, not brown and blue, but we agreed that at this point, it's not coming out.  Fortunately, we really do like the colors, they just aren't what we had planned on.  Next he'll put the toilet in and we'll add the sink!  Yay!

It's like a new house!

We went like, two months with sort of painted walls.  And yesterday we spent most of the day priming and painting.  WOW!  The house is totally different!

So since we painted the room, who's going to come over and do the laundry?

Invisible carpet!

After the new faucets last week, Bry-D finally decided it was time to tear up our nasty 15 year old carpet.  Wow.  It was disgusting.  So now we have invisible carpet until God decides to provide us with new flooring.

We've also decided to repaint, since we've had red walls for 5 years, we're switching to white.  We primed the biggest wall, then painted different shades of grey-white to decide what will work best.  I'm holding out for a bit of a kitchen remodel, tho Bry-D says we're just painting.  We'll see!

When I left, the house was put together

When I came home, the kitchen sink was literally in pieces on the floor.
He also attacked the bathroom sink.
 Show no mercy!
Tho I can't complain to much, the new faucetts look great!
Even with a sink full of dirty dishes!
This wasn't a completely random Tim the Toolman moment.  We've had problems with our kitchen faucet leaking, and while I was out running errands sans children, he thought it was the ideal time to take apart the sink and  fix the leak, if possible.  Turns out we needed a new faucet.  Then he checked the Master bathroom faucets, one leaks the other is fine.  One came apart without a problem, and he broke the other one, which is why we got new bathroom faucets.  This has brought about a full home remodel.
